Dale of Norway has built an iconic reputation in the world of traditional Norwegian knitting for sustainable, quality wool knitwear. Dating back to 1879, the brand's signature garment is the Norwegian wool sweater which is recognised globally for its striking intricate patterns, bright colours, and warmth.
Alongside its legendary reputation Dale of Norway are known for their environmental responsibility. They create long-lasting, durable garments from natural and renewable wool. In fact, since the brand's creation over 140 years ago, Dale of Norway’s factory has been powered by the same local river in the Dale Valley, the Bergsdai. It is this river that ensures that the factory is run entirely on hydropower, one of the oldest renewal energy sources in the world.
So trusted were the Dale of Norway brand that in 1994 they were asked to design and produce a sweater to dress the Norwegian Olympic cross-country ski team. Due to this jumper’s popularity the brand has released an updated version of this iconic 1994 Lillehammer wool sweater, which we are lucky enough to sell here at Feather & Stitch, alongside several other colourful designs.
